🔺 We Are The Champions. The men’s tennis team are Mountain West Champions! The Lobos shut out No. 42 Boise State 4-0 to win the tournament title and claiming an automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament. Aram Noroozian clinched the doubles point, then defeated nationally-ranked Jett Middleton at the No. 1 singles position. This is the program’s fourth Mountain West title in seven years.

🔺 Hot Bats. Lobo baseball took two from San José State over the weekend! They started with a dominant 25-5 run-rule win on Friday, their most lopsided win of the season. Gene Trujillo and Karsen Waslefsky each hit three-run homers. The run-rule trend continued on Saturday as New Mexico secured the series with a 19-3 seven-inning win. Cristian Mogen went a career-high five innings, striking out six and throwing just 63 pitches. The Lobos fell in a back-and-forth battle on Sunday, losing 14-12.

🔺 Near The Top. The men’s golf team finished third at the Mountain West Championship! The Lobos shot the low round of the final day, 17-under, to climb two spots and finish at 30-under. Mesa Falleur tied for fourth individually, his second top-five and fifth top-10 of the season. Oliver Cage and Carson Herron tied for 16th. They’ll await the NCAA Selection Show on Wednesday at 11 a.m. on the Golf Channel.

🔺 Winner, Winners. The Lobos had a successful showing at the Don Kirby Twilight! Cam Watts improved his program record with a win in the 100m dash! Habtom Samuel won the 10,000m with Ishmael Kipkurui right behind him in second. Pamela Kosgei won the women’s 10,000m with Christina Nisoli behind her. Evans Kiplagat won the 3,000m steeple chase, while Millie Freeland won the women’s edition.
