What else is steeping in today’s Brew?

⚾️ Baseball starts the week strong
🏆 The Louie’s
🐺 And much, much more!

📈 STOCK UP

🔼  Big Swing. Lobo baseball got their week started with their second-straight win, a 3-1 dub over DII CSU Pueblo. Six Lobo pitchers held them to one unearned run and just three hits. Kyle Smith drove in two of New Mexico’s three runs. Will Asby went 2-for-3 at the plate, while Konner Kinkade scored the first two Lobo runs. Josh Barnhouse earned the win on the mound after four scoreless innings of work. They’ll be back in action this weekend at Air Force, starting Friday.

🔼 Not Enough Gas. Lobo softball tried to complete a comeback, but came just short in last night’s 4-3 loss to New Mexico State. The Aggies went up 1-0 in the first inning and no one scored again until the sixth. The Lobos trailed 2-0 in the bottom of the sixth when Keyannah Chavez hit a two run homer to tie the game. NMSU took the lead by scoring two runs in the top of the seventh. The Lobos rallied to score one, but couldn’t finish it off with a win in the bottom of the final inning. Keyannah finished the game with two hits and Katherine Brunner also added two.

🔼 Lehigh’s In Top Five. The women’s golf team completed round one on day one of the Mountain West Championship in sixth-place. Lauren Lehigh sits tied for fourth individually at 2-under. The Lobos are sitting at 9-over, which is three strokes behind San Diego State in fifth-place. They’ll continue today with round two.
