🔼 Meet At The Track. The 17th ranked Lobos are home today while they host the Don Kirby Tailwind Open starting at 9:30am. Come out and see this weeks Mountain West Track Athlete of the Week, Elise Thorner, and the Mountain West Freshman of the Week, Mckenna Watson. Elise ran the fastest steeple chase time in the country last weekend. The Lobos have picked up 18 total weekly awards in the 2022-2023 season.

🔼  Three’s Company. Men’s tennis player, Arda Azkarda, picked up his third Mountain West Player of the Week award of the season! The sophomore went 3-0 last week in No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles. The 12-5 Lobos will be back on the court today facing San Diego State at 4:00pm.

🔼  Sitting In Second. The women’s golf team sits in second place at the Mountain West Conference Championship behind San Jose State. Napat Lertsadwattana leads the way in first with a score of 68. Check out the sisterly love Lobo Lauren Lehigh and Fresno State’s Katelyn Lehigh shared on the course, how sweet! The final round is today and you can follow along here.

Mascot Mania. Did you know that UNM used to have a real live wolf pup as a mascot? That got a little dangerous, so they moved on to the other kind.

Director’s Cup. The women’s golf team is currently chasing a Mountain West Conference Championship, but they were honored for something even bigger last week. The team won the Athletic Director’s Cup and was honored for their 4.03 team GPA. This team proves success on and off the course!
