🔺 Ran For It. New Mexico women's track and field repeated as Mountain West Outdoor Champions with a program-record 190 points, topping last year's 153-point total and securing the program's sixth consecutive Mountain West trophy across cross country, indoor, and outdoor. The Lobos are the first women's program to sweep all three MW titles in back-to-back years since BYU in 2004 and 2005.
The Lobos won 11 individual conference titles over the weekend, highlighted by Taniya Looney sweeping the 100 and 200 meters, Marion Jepngetich and Habtom Samuel each winning the 5,000, Ajia Hughes in the long jump, and Pamela Kosgei in the steeplechase.
Head coach Darren Gauson was named MW Women's Coach of the Year for the ninth time in three seasons, tying him for fifth on the all-time Mountain West list across cross country, indoor, and outdoor.

🔺 Record-Tying Class. New Mexico men's golf tied a program record with four All-Mountain West selections in Mesa Falleur, Johnnie Clark, Thayer Plewe, and Emil Albers, matching the mark set by the 2012-13 squad.
Falleur earned the honor for the second straight year, ranking No. 21 nationally with a 70.10 stroke average and two individual wins. Clark, a transfer from Oklahoma State, earned his first All-Mountain West nod after winning the ASU Thunderbird Collegiate. Plewe was named Mountain West Freshman of the Year, the seventh Lobo to earn the distinction, while Albers made history in September by winning the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate, joining Tiger Woods (1994) as the only freshmen to claim medalist honors at UNM's historic home event. The Lobos head to the NCAA Bryan Regional at the Traditions Club in Texas next week, with the top five teams advancing to the NCAA Championships in California.
🔺 Meet The Coach. Coach Amy Eagan is heading into her first season with New Mexico women’s hoops! Get to know her a little bit better.
