🔼 Highest Honor. Lobo track & field star Habtom Samuel has been named to The Bowerman Watch List for the first time in his career! He becomes the second Lobo to ever make the list, joining Josh Kerr. The Bowerman goes to collegiate track & field’s top male & female athletes for the year. He enters the NCAA Outdoor Championships at No. 3 in the 10,000m and No. 2 in the 5,000m.

🔼 Hot Commodity. The national TV schedule for Lobo football has been released! Five games are set to air on national television in Coach Bronco Mendenhall’s first year. Three games will air on the Fox Family of Networks and two games on ESPN’s waves. The season opener will air on FS1 on August 24. New Mexico has the most ESPN games of any Mountain West team.

Local Lobos. Meet Lobo baseball’s Chase Weissenborn! He’s from Albuquerque and a graduate of Albuquerque Academy. Chase batted .313 with 96 at-bats this season, including two home runs.
