📈 STOCK UP

🔼 The Shine Continues. After a season in which he won two more Mountain West titles in the 1500m and 5,000m and followed up with his first NCAA title in the 10,000m at NCAA Outdoor Championships, Habtom Samuel has been named the Mountain West Outdoor Track & Field Athlete of the Year. The conference award is Samuel’s third of the academic year, completing the sweep of all three seasons in which he raced.

🔼 Pen To Paper. Meet the newest Lobo softball signee, Marina Tinari! The incoming sophomore transfers to New Mexico from Florida Gulf Coast University. She went four straight outings in the circle without allowing a single run. In high school, she was a dual threat batting .553 and boasting a 1.49 ERA.

🔼 Sights Set. New Mexico soccer learned its opponents for the 2024 season with the announcement of the team’s schedule. The Lobos have a balanced schedule for the upcoming season with 10 home matches and eight on the road, featuring new opponents coming to Albuquerque like Oregon and UC Riverside. Lobo fans will be able to purchase Pride Passes at a later date to gain access to all home matches.

🔼 Keep Rolling In. The accolades and awards keep rolling in for Lobo track and field star Habtom Samuel. After receiving his conference honors, Samuel has been named as one of 10 semifinalists for the prestigious Bowerman Award by the USTFCCCA. First awarded in 2009, The Bowerman is bestowed to collegiate track & field’s top male and female athlete for the year, regardless of discipline.
