🔺 Going Pro. Lobo track & field standout Ishmael Kipkurui signed a professional contract with Nike after a dominant collegiate season. He immediately began his professional career, setting a new personal best in the 10,000m and earning a spot on the Kenyan National Team. He closes his Lobo career as the NCAA 10K record holder and a three-time First Team All-American in his freshman season.

🔺 ATL Nelz. Former Lobo men’s basketball player Nelly Junior Joseph will play for the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA Summer League! He’ll play in Las Vegas later this month.

🔺 On The Radar. New Mexico placed 10 on the Athlon Sports All-Mountain West Preseason Team! Scottre Humphrey, Richard Pearce, and Abraham Williams earned first-team honors. Keagan Johnson, Dimitri Johnson, and Jaxton Eck landed on the second-team. Keyshawn James-Newby represents the Lobos on the third team, while Tevin Shaw, Gabriel Lopez, and Randolph Kpai earned fourth-team honors.
