📈 STOCK UP

🔼  Tourney Time. Mountain West Tournament time is here for the men’s basketball team! The Lobos hold the six-seed and will have a first-round matchup with 11-seeded Air Force tonight at 5 pm on the Mountain West Network. The teams split their series in the regular season. If you’re in Las Vegas to make the Thomas & Mack Center “Pit West,” come on out to the Lobo Fan Event! There will be free Lobo swag and food, plus hang out with fellow Lobo fans from 12 pm - 2 pm at Tom’s Urban under the Brooklyn Bridge.

🔼 Award Season. Mountain West honors were announced yesterday and four Lobos earned honors. Donovan Dent and JT Toppin were named to the Second Team and Jaelen House was named Third Team All-Mountain West and All-Defensive Team. JT was named Co-Freshman of the Year and Mustapha Amzil earned Co-Sixth Man of the Year. Three selections to the All-Mountain West teams ties a school record.

🔼 Major Key. The softball team played a double header at Texas Tech yesterday and Keyannah Chavez was the star of the Lobos. She was responsible for five of New Mexico’s six RBIs, with four being in game two. She hit a three-run homer in the second game. Rachael Hathoot recorded the other RBI. The Lobos dropped both games in Lubbock and will begin their Mountain West schedule on Friday at San José State.

🔼 Run The West. Lobo baseball stayed hot at the start of their road trip, taking down Arizona State 6-4. The Lobos were down early, but Reed Spenrath’s fourth inning home run sparked a three-run inning to tie it up. Devon Dixon hit a three-run homer in the sixth to give New Mexico a 6-3 lead. The bullpen didn’t give up a single earned run and Dayne Pengelly threw 4.1 scoreless innings.
