🔼 Watching Washington. The 2023 Preseason All-Mountain West team was announced yesterday at Mountain West Media Days, and our very own Christian Washington was one of just two sophomores to make the team. He earned the spot as a kick returner after making Second Team All-Mountain West last season. He finished third in the country out of all freshman kick returners. Christian was also responsible for New Mexico’s ninth-ever 100-yard kickoff return when he recorded one against Boise State last season.

🔼  Building A Legacy. New Mexico Athletic Director Eddie Nunez hopped on the Collegiate Sports Connect podcast to share all of the exciting things in Lobo Land. He highlights the New Mexico Mutual Champions Training Center, serving on the NCAA Division I Council, and other great things happening in the program.

🔼 Going On Tour. Continuing to make a name for himself in the professional golf world, rising senior Bastien Amat is going to compete as an amateur at the Barracuda Championship on the PGA TOUR! The tournament will run today through Sunday at the Tahoe Mountain Club. This will be his PGA TOUR debut and back-to-back Barracuda Championship appearances for Lobo golfers, Albert Boneta played in the tournament last year.

🔼 Locked In. Game times are set for the six Lobo football home games! Four games will be on the Mountain West Network, the Hawaii game will be on Spectrum, and the Utah State game will be on the CBS Sports Network. Five of the six home games will start at 4:00pm or later, just in time for the new lighting system in University Stadium! The 98th Homecoming football game will be against Hawaii, the sixth time we have celebrated homecoming against the Rainbow Warriors.
