🔼 Lucky Lobos. Lobo baseball took the series at UNLV over the weekend! It marks the first time they’ve won the home and away weekend series against UNLV since 2018. They opened the series with a 15-8 win on Friday that included three home runs and 19 hits. The Rebels evened the series on Saturday with a 13-8 win over the Lobos, despite New Mexico’s 10 hits. The Lobos slammed the door for the series win on Sunday with a 14-2 run-rule victory in seven innings. Every batter in the Lobo lineup picked up a hit with two outs in the top of the seventh. The Lobos led 4-2, but exploded in the seventh inning and scored 10 runs. Jake Holland finished the weekend with two homers and seven RBI. Reed Spenrath also blasted two home runs and a .545 batting average.

🔼 Won The Series. After a win on Thursday night, Lobo softball kept it rolling on Friday. They took down Fresno State, 4-1, after scoring four runs in the fourth inning. Ashley Archuleta hit a ball off the wall with bases loaded to bring in two. The win made it just the third time in program history that the Lobos won a series against Fresno State. Six seniors were celebrated before Saturday’s game — Savannah Braun, Rachael Hathoot, Amber Linton, Savana Martinez, Diamond Sandoval, and Taylor Snow. Rachael proceeded to lead the team with two hits in her final game as a Lobo. Savannah also recorded a hit in her Lobo softball finale. Amber and Taylor spent time in the circle for their final outings. Fresno State took the series finale, 13-4.

🔼 Test Our Luck. Two more Lobos will test their luck in Las Vegas this week! Women’s golfers Lauren Lehigh and Myah McDonald will compete as individuals at the NCAA Las Vegas Regional today through Wednesday. They are among six individuals in the field, alongside 12 teams. This is Lauren’s fourth NCAA Regional appearance and Myah’s third. They both finished the Mountain West Championship in the top five.

🐺 ONE BIG THING

Nobody Better. Women’s tennis head coach Vicky Maes was named Mountain West Coach of the Year! Her Lobos had a record-breaking season and won their first-ever Mountain West regular season title. She becomes the second women’s tennis coach to receive the honor at New Mexico, joining Kathy Kolankiewicz in 2004.
