🐺 And much, much more!

📈 STOCK UP

🔼  Lucky Number Seven. The Mountain West gave seven Lobos All-Conference honors! JC Davis became the first Lobo offensive player to earn First Team All-Mountain West since 2014. Jacory Croskey-Merritt earned Second Team honors. Dylan Hopkins, Alec Marenco, Donte Martin, Caleb Medford, and Zach Morris all received Honorable Mention. Bill is the first Lobo running back to earn at least Second Team honors since 2016. QB1 became the first Lobo quarterback named Honorable Mention since 2003. This is also Donte’s second-straight Honorable Mention honor.

🔼 True Grit. The women’s basketball team had a blazing third-quarter rally last night to force overtime against Eastern Illinois. The Panthers had a 43-32 lead at halftime, but the Lobos came out hot and scored the first 12 points of the third. The Lobos won 81-78. They’ll stay at home this week as they host New Mexico State on Saturday at 1pm.

  • Paula Reus scored a career-high 25 points, 17 came in the second half.

  • Viané Cumber recorded her first career double-double with 14 points, a career-high 14 rebounds, and a career-high five assists.

  • Nyah Wilson scored 21 points, making it her fifth game scoring double figures.

🔼 Salute To Service. The men’s basketball team starts a three-game homestand tonight as they host Louisiana Tech at 7pm. Both teams sit at 5-1 with the Bulldogs riding a five-game winning streak. This is New Mexico’s first game since last week’s Ball Dawgs Classic.

It’s Salute to Service Night, so free tickets are available at the ticket office for service members with a military ID. Their family members will also receive discounted tickets. Additionally, there will be a SAAC Canned Food Drive and donators will receive a voucher for discounted tickets. If you can’t make it, you can watch live on the Mountain West Network.

🐺 ONE BIG THING

Don’t forget about the First Pitch Banquet on January 19! You won’t want to miss MLB Hall of Famer Goose Gossage. The 9-time All-Star and World Series Champion is our special guest. There will be a silent auction from 6-7pm and the program will begin at 7pm. Contact Paige Blomker at 505-250-8489 or at [email protected] for tickets or sponsorships.
