🔼 Making Statements. The Lobos men’s basketball team is making a statement this off-season. Hoop Scoop Media ranked the Lobos at 24 in their July 1^st Top 25 rankings. The Lobos finished the 2022-2023 season 22-12 overall, including a top 25 win over San Diego State and an NIT appearance. 🔼 Listen Up. While we’re on the topic of basketball, Coach Richard Pitino hosted a press conference last month with Jemarl Baker Jr. and Quinton Webb. They talk about the progress that has been made and look ahead to the upcoming season.

🔼 Counting Down. There are now 58 days until kick-off, so let’s take a look at that number in Lobo history. In the 2021 season, quarterback Terry Wilson threw a 58-yard touchdown pass to Manny Logan Greene for his first receiving touchdown as a Lobo. To make it even better, the Lobos beat New Mexico State 34-25 in this edition of the Rio Grande Rivalry. It was also Coach Gonzales’ first win of the rivalry.

🔼 Let’s Have A Party. The UNM Lobo Club will be hosting its annual Cherry & Silver Scholarship Gala on August 19 at the Clyde Downtown Albuquerque. This will be a night to celebrate the Lobos successes and raise money for UNM Student-Athlete scholarships. There will be a VIP reception, silent auction, dinner, live auction, and live music to follow. Don’t miss out on a magical night, get your tickets or table here!

🐺 ONE BIG THING

On The Road, Again. Lobos on the Road is back tonight from 5:30-7:30pm in at Sammy C’s Rock’N Sports Pub & Grill in Gallup, New Mexico. Coach Gonzales of Lobo football, Coach Dickson of Lobo softball, and Coach Millican of Lobo men’s golf will be speaking at the event. There will also be giveaways, raffle prizes, good food, and a cash bar.
