🔺 On the Road. The men’s basketball team beat VCU on the road on Wednesday, 81-78. This marked the team’s first road win of the season and its fifth straight win in a row. Jake Hall tied his career-high of 24 points. He has now tied the UNM freshman record of four 20-point games this season. The Lobos shot 50% from the field and 44.44% from behind the arc.

🔺 Mark the Calendar! The 2026 baseball schedule is here! The Lobos have a 51-game slate that features 35 home games at Lobo Baseball Field. This is the most home games in a single season since the opening of the facility. There are nine teams in the Mountain West this season. The 2026 season marks head coach Tod Brown’s fifth year at the helm. The first series of the season is at home on Feb. 13-15!

🔺 On the Team. Football player Keyshawn James-Newby was named a Third Team All-America by the Pro Football & Sports Network. He led the Mountain West with 8.0 sacks and is second in the league in tackles for loss with 13.0. James-Newby had a season-high 2.5 sacks against New Mexico State.
