The University of New Mexico Spirit Program is excited to host the inaugural Lobo Spirit Golf Classic on Friday, October 2, 2026 at Santa Ana Golf Club. This event brings together alumni, businesses, families, and community supporters for a day of golf while investing in the student-athletes who proudly represent UNM on campus, athletic events, community, and on the national stage. Tournament proceeds help provide essential resources including travel, uniforms, equipment, training opportunities, and overall program development. Whether you're an avid golfer, looking for a fun day with friends, or interested in showcasing your business, we'd love to have you join us. Registration closes September 15, 2026, with any remaining team openings available until tournament day, as space allows. We also offer a variety of sponsorship opportunities for businesses and individuals looking to make an even greater impact. 🔼 Title Won! The men’s golf team captured the team title at the Canadian Collegiate Invitational. UNM had a final score of 847 (-5). Johnnie Clark won the individual title, leading the team and placing first individually. He had a score of 207 (-6). This marks his third collegiate win and second-straight win. He is the first Lobo to win consecutive events since 2002-03. Wyatt Provence followed tied for fourth place. Thayer Plewe tied for ninth place.

🔼 Top 3. The women’s golf team finished the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational in third place. UNM had a final score of 861 (-3). Ava Cepeda and Ausanee Udkamtiang tied for third place individually. They had scores of 212 (-4). Clara Rushmer hit even-to-par to tie for 10th place.

🔼 Court Report. The men’s tennis team competed in the Kinlen & Vivian Gee Wildcat Invitational. All six Lobos garnered at least one singles match win. David Schwarc won a pair of matches against New Mexico State and NAU. Juan Rodriguez won against NAU. In doubles, UNM picked up a pair of wins.
