🎥 MIC’D UP

CJ On The Mic. In this segment of mic’d up, we have offensive lineman CJ James! He started in 11 games last season, 7 of them were at center. He was injured for the Fresno State game but returned to start at right guard before moving back to center. Before becoming a Lobo, he played one season at Abilene Christian. CJ went to high school at Springfield Central in Massachusetts where he won a state title.

🔼 On The Defense. Lobo goalie Alli Davis has been named the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week! This is her second defensive conference award of her career and third overall conference honor. She opened the season with 12 saves throughout the week, including a career-high 8 against Texas Tech. She got her first clean sheet of the season and eighth of her career against Northern Arizona. In 180 minutes of play this week, she allowed just one goal.

🔼 Lobos Second Home. The men’s basketball team will play Santa Clara in the Jack Jones Classic in December. The game will tip at 3:00pm MT on Dec. 9, TV and streaming information will be released at a later date. This will be the fourth game of the season for the Lobos at the Dollar Loan Center in Henderson, Nevada. New Mexico and Santa Clara haven’t met since the 2011-12 season.

🔼 Fall Ball. The Lobo softball fall schedule is here! They’ll play a double header against Otero on Sept. 30 before heading to Texas Tech on Oct. 1. Then, they’ll stay home to host New Mexico Highlands, Adams State, and the Cherry & Silver Series. There will be plenty of chances to see the Lobos in action before spring time rolls around, you won’t want to miss it! 🔼 Home Is Where The Heart Is. The women’s tennis schedule was released and it features 11 home matches! Last season, the Lobos were only home for three matches. There will be four fall tournaments, starting in Colorado Springs in September. The Lobos will have an extended trip in the Pacific Northwest for three matches in Spokane, Washington. The Mountain West Tournament will take place in Las Vegas April 24-27.
