📈 STOCK UP

🔼  Our House. The Lobos dominated New Mexico State in the first Rio Grande Rivalry of the season. They posted their biggest margin of victory in nearly six decades, winning 106-62. Lobo nation showed out, packing The Pit with 15,435 fans. Jaelen House led the Lobos with 28 points, four assists, and four steals. Tru Washington had his first career 20-point game, scoring 21 with six assists. Donovan Dent recorded his second double-double of the season. The Lobos recorded 24 assists, the most in a game since Coach Pitino’s hiring.

🔼 Made A STATEment. The women’s team also got their first win of this season’s Rio Grande Rivalry! Four Lobos were in double figures in the 67-52 win. Paula Reus and Charlotte Kohl led the team with 15 points each. Charlotte got her second double-double of the season. Aniyah Augmon now sits 11th in the NCAA with 25 steals. 🎥 Highlights

They’ll be back in action at The Pit tonight at 7pm as they host Mississippi Valley State.

🔼 Record Racers. The Lobos track & field teams had a record setting weekend at the Sharon Danville-Colyear Invite! Habtom Samuel broke the New Mexico 5,000m record and recorded the 11th-fastest time in NCAA history! Lukas Kiprop also broke the school record with a 7:47.52 3,000m. Evans Kiplagat earned the Garmin PR of the Meet, setting a personal best in the 5,000m and ranking second in school history. Samuel Field also set a PR in the 3,000m.

The women’s team had some PR’s of their own in Boston. Semira Mebrahtu Firezghi ran a personal best 9:27.89 in the 3,000m and so did Klara Dess with a 9:31.40.

🐺 ONE BIG THING

The Lobo softball team released their 2024 schedule over the weekend! There will be 13 home games and 54 total games. The Lobos will travel to eight different states and five different tournaments before Mountain West play. They’ll face seven teams from last year’s NCAA Tournament. The Lobos will get things started on February 9 against Tarleton and McNeese before going down the road the next day to the Louisiana Classics in Lafayette. Fans can buy a Lobo Pride Pass for entry to all home games.
