🔺 Midweek Dub. The baseball team faced New Mexico State in its regular-season home finale. The Lobos won 12-6 on Tuesday. Khalil Walker led the team with three hits. Luke Mansy and Antonio Gianni each had two hits. Ty Cunningham earned the win on the mound after pitching 4.0 innings and striking out three batters. With all 51 regular-season games complete, the Lobos carry a 28-22-1 (12-11-1 MW) record into the postseason, where they’ll be either the No. 4 or No. 5 seed in the Mountain West Conference Tournament in a first-round matchup with Nevada.

🔺 Welcome! The women’s soccer team hired Carmen Esnal as an assistant coach/goalkeeping coach. Esnal founded AZGK Performance out of Arizona, which she started in 2016 and developed a specialized goalkeeper training academy focused on technical, tactical and mental development. She worked with goalkeepers in areas that included shot-stopping, positioning, distribution and decision-making under pressure and designed training programs tailored to each athlete.

🔺 Fabulous Five. The softball team had five players named to All-Mountain West honors. Miracle McKenzie and DeNae Vasquez-Dickson earned All-Mountain West First Team honors with Caitlin Benningfield, Gabrielle Briones and McKenna Guest earning honorable mention. Both Briones and Benningfield earned their first postseason awards while Guest earned her second after being named to the All-MW Second Team last year.
