🔼 All About Academics. Three Lobos from the women’s track & field team were named CSC Academic All-America recipients.

🏃‍♀️ Ameliea Mazza-Downie, also known as the Mountain West Outdoor Track & Field Female Athlete of the Year, continues to rack up the accolades with a first-team Academic All-America honor. She had a great season on the track, winning the Mountain West 5,000m and breaking the 10,000m school record while maintaining a 3.70 GPA.

🏃‍♀️ Gracelyn Larkin also received first-team Academic All-America honors after maintaining a 3.85 GPA. She finished the season placing 14th at the NCAA Championships in the 10,000m and 15th in the 5,000m. She also finished as the Mountain West runner-up in the 5,000m.

🏃‍♀️ Stefanie Parsons earned second-team Academic All-America. She won the Mountain West title in the 1,500m to wrap up her collegiate career. She posted PR’s in the conference championships and the NCAA West Preliminary Championships. She held a 3.94 GPA while studying exercise science.

🔼 We’ve Got Time. We have a game time in Wyoming! The Lobos will play the Cowboys at 2:00pm MT in Laramie, Wyoming on September 30. The last time the Lobos played at Wyoming, they won 14-3.

🐺 ONE BIG THING

Run It Back. There are 65 days until football season, so let’s throw it back to last year’s game against Boise State. Christian Washington was named Mountain West Freshman of the Week after averaging 65.5 yards per kick off return that night. He also ran a 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown, just the 26th in Mountain West history.
