🔼 Wrapping Up The Rivalry. The last game of the Rio Grande Rivalry is today at 3:00pm in Las Cruces. The Lobos are leading the series 2-1 this season. The Aggies are on a five-game drought while the Lobos just split four games with Nevada. New Mexico continues to lead the NCAA with a team batting average of .338.

🔼 The Future Is Bright. The future of New Mexico men’s basketball is very bright with Coach Richard Pitino in charge. Coach Pitino received a contract extension through the 2027-2028 season. The Lobos ranked 15th in national overall attendance with over 228,000 fans showing up to The Pit last season. The team had their first 20-win season and postseason appearance in nine years last season in Coach Pitino’s second year.

🔼  Party In The Back. The Lobos had a huge back nine performance yesterday to boost themselves into second-place at the Salem Regional, behind Arkansas. Albert Boneta shot 7-under par on the back nine and ended the day with a -4 score. The Lobos have a score of -16 and are 6 strokes behind the first-place Razorbacks. The regional continues today with round two.

Throwing Heat. Pitcher Arthur Steinkamp has a season ERA of 1.66. His WHIP over the last month is 0.51 and he has not issued a walk in his last nine outings. He also has not allowed a run in his last six outings through 11.2 innings.
