🔺 Brace! The soccer team beat Nevada 3-1 on Sunday. Nicole Anderson scored two goals and Claire Roybal tallied one. This marked Roybal’s first collegiate goal and consecutive braces against the Wolf Pack for Anderson. The Lobos had 12 shots, and five were on goal. Alyson Campbell recorded eight saves in goal.
🔺 The Meet. The swim and dive team faced New Mexico State and Utah Tech this past weekend. On day one, Liv Hann, Ava Schlosser and Tuana Uyar were the top scorers in the 300 back. On day two, Alice English took the 3-meter title and Esme Abbadi-Macintosh was second.
🔺 Academic Honors. There were 29 Lobos honored with the 1A Far Academic Excellence Award. Overall, 13 of UNM’s 18 programs were represented on the squad. The 29 representatives led all Mountain West schools, ranking seventh nationally.
🔺 Late Fall. The football team was down by just three points after the third quarter, but Boise State had a huge fourth quarter to win the game 41-25. Damon Bankston scored on a kickoff return in the second quarter. Dorian Thomas and Keagan Johnson also made it to the end zone. James Laubstein was successful on a two-point attempt.
🔺 Next Up. The volleyball team fell to Grand Canyon 3-0 on Saturday. The Lobos look to get back in the win column against UNLV on Thursday this week.
