🔺 Victory! The softball team recorded 13 hits in its 10-6 win over New Mexico State on Tuesday. Allie Williams went 4-4 at the plate with a career-high three doubles for three RBIs. Melanie Macias hit her third home run of the season, a three-run homer. Jessica DeLeon hit a two-run homer. Caitlin Benningfield went 6.2 innings for the win, striking out five Aggies without allowing a walk, to stand at 104 strikeouts on the season.

🔺 Strong Start. The baseball team scored five runs in the first inning against CSU Pueblo on Tuesday. The Lobos didn’t slow down from there and won 11-3. The men totaled 15 hits. Four Lobos had two hits each. Anthony Diaz scored three runs and Brodey Williams had two RBIs. Ethin Woltz earned his first win of the season on the mound.

🔺 Day One. The women’s golf team is in seventh place after the first round of the 2026 CU1 Mountain West Championship. New Mexico has a team score of 302 (+14). Ava Cepeda leads the Lobos in sixth place individually. She hit even to par.

🔺 Again! Men’s track and field athlete Habtom Samuel has been named the USTFCCCA Co-National Men’s Athlete of the Week. It's the fifth National Athlete of the Week award in his career and his fourth this academic year alone. He recently broke his own collegiate outdoor 5,000m record at the Bryan Clay Invitational. Samuel was also named the Mountain West Men’s Athlete of the Week. Eva Ngom earned Women’s Freshman of the Week. Ngom ran UNM’s fastest spin on the anchor leg of the fastest women’s 4×400m in the MW this outdoor season.
