🔼 Star Boys. Lobo quarterback Dylan Hopkins was named one of eight Manning Award Stars of the Week and the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week after the win over Hawaii! He set the school record for completion percentage (80%) after going 20-for-25. He threw for 202 yards and three touchdowns. The Lobo honors didn’t stop there, Jermarius Lewis was named the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week! He led the team with seven tackles and was a part of three takeaways. This is the first time that Lobos have won both of those Player of the Week awards in the same week since 2006.

🔼 Top-10 Lauren. The Lobo women’s golf team wrapped up the fall season with an 11th-place finish at the Jim West Challenge. Lauren Lehigh led the Lobos with a 9th-place finish, her third top-10 finish of the season. Myah McDonald and Lisa-Marie Pagliano both tied for 34th.

🔼  Comin’ Out Strong. The women’s basketball team had their first exhibition game on Sunday and got the 20-point win over Eastern New Mexico with a 77-57 final score. Ten Lobos scored, including three in double figures. Viané Cumber led the team with 16 points, while adding seven rebounds and two assists. Aniyah Augmon had a busy day, putting up 13 points with five assists, four steals, and two rebounds. Nyah Wilson made her Lobo debut with 15 points and five rebounds. The Lobo defense finished with 10 steals. They’ll be back on the court to wrap up the preseason against Adams State on Sunday at 4pm.

🐺 ONE BIG THING

Former Lobo baseball player Mitch Garver had a huge game in Game 6 of the ALCS for the Texas Rangers! He had three hits including a home run to tie the game, along with 2 RBIs. The Rangers had to win to stay alive and Mitch was a key player. They got the win last night and are World Series Bound!
