🏈 Honoring a legend
🏐 First Responders Recognition Night
🐺 And much, much more!

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Honoring A Great. Former Lobo Terance Mathis will be celebrated all day long on Saturday! We’ll be celebrating his induction into the College Football Hall of Fame with an NFF Hall of Fame On-Campus Salute, presented by Fidelity Investments, during the first quarter. Don’t be stuck in line and miss out, get into the stadium early! The Lobos will wear helmets that bear the same logo that Mathis wore during his time here. They’ll also have a helmet stripe with an American flag motif to honor those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.

🔼 Starting Off Strong. The women’s golf team ended the season opener with a top-5 finish in the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational. They finished tied for fifth at 11-over. Coach Trujillo said, “this was the strongest field we have had at the McGuire in many years, so it was great to start the season with a top-five finish.” Lauren Lehigh secured a third-place individual finish with a score of 8-under. They’ll be back on the course September 23-25 at the Schooner Fall Classic in Oklahoma.

🔼 Let’s Get It Started. The women’s tennis team is kicking off their season today at the ITA Bedford Cup at Air Force. The Lobos are returning All-Mountain West member Katherine Jhang. She posted a 17-10 singles record and a 4-2 doubles record with Hsuan Huang who is also returning. The fall season consists of four tournaments before taking a break until February.

🔼 Coming Home. The Lobo volleyball team beat Northern Arizona last night 3-0. Even better? Kaitlynn Biassou recorded her 100th career ace! They return home on Friday for another match against Northern Arizona. It’s First Responders Appreciation Night, so all first responders will receive free admission with ID. The first 250 fans will receive a Lobos headband! The fun gets started at 6:30pm at the Johnson Center, so come out and support your Lobos. Click here for tickets.

Before the game, head out to Laguna Burger for Spirit Night! Enjoy the official burger of the Lobos and hang out with Lobo Louie and spirit members starting at 4:30pm.

🐺 ONE BIG THING

Buddy Walk. The Buddy Walk is back! The Rio Grande Down Syndrome Buddy Walk is a fundraiser for individuals with down syndrome. It’ll take place from 3:00-6:00pm on Saturday from the Santa Ana Star Field to the UNM Baseball Complex. Both New Mexico and New Mexico State will wear the down syndrome logo on their helmets. There will be 34 jerseys with the names of affected individuals that will be worn by the Lobos during the game and will be given to the families after the game.
