🔼 On To The Next. Talking season is over after Mountain West Media Days wrapped up yesterday. If you missed out, you can click here to watch Dylan Hopkins and Donte Martin on the Mountain West Network.

We are now just 43 days away from kickoff against Texas A&M in College Station. New Mexico and Texas A&M have played five times total, dating all the way back to 1926. The Lobos will be looking for their first win over the Aggies on September 2 at 5:00pm CT on ESPN.

🔼  Night With New Mexico. The Lobo Club is hosting the Cherry & Silver Scholarship Gala on August 19 at The Clyde Hotel! 🔼 State Of The Art. We have the best around when it comes to radio broadcast teams! The Lobo men’s basketball and flagship station KKOB was a recipient of the 2023 Excellence in Broadcasting Award by the New Mexico Broadcasters Association. Robert Portnoy, AKA the Voice of the Lobos, received the Metro Market Sports Play-by-Play Award, alongside Hunter Greene and Steph Griffin. KKOB radio earned the Metro Market Station of the Year for the second year in-a-row.

🐺 ONE BIG THING

The Enchantment TBT team has kicked things off at the tournament in Lubbock and started their journey with a win. The team is full of players around the state of New Mexico, including some of your favorite Lobos. They defeated Austin’s Own, 77-66. Former Lobo Troy Simons had 11 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists. Roman Martinez also represented the Lobos well, going 3-for-4 on three point shots and scoring 12 points. Enchantment TBT will play tonight against the Air Raiders at 7:00pm MT on ESPN+ in the round of 32.

The team has dedicated their year to JB White, who was a New Mexico commit who was killed in 2020 due to gun violence. Roman Martinez and the team surprised JB’s mom with an honorary patch on their jerseys.
