📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Sweep Dreams. Lobo baseball had their first undefeated week of the season and they were rewarded for it! The Lobos swept the Mountain West Weekly Awards after going 4-0. Will Asby was named Mountain West Player of the Week, he batted .526 while driving in eight RBI. He also hit his third grand slam of the year against Texas Tech. Brett Russell earned Pitcher of the Week after shutting down San Diego State. He shoved a career-high seven scoreless innings and added seven strikeouts in Saturday’s 19-5 win. Gene Trujillo won Freshman of the Week. He had two big hits in four pinch at-bats, including a three-run homer on Saturday.

🔼 Episode Three. After sweeping the awards, Lobo baseball travels to Las Cruces for episode three of the Rio Grande Rivalry at New Mexico State. The Lobos are riding a four-game winning streak after beating Texas Tech on the road, then sweeping San Diego State for the first time since 2013. They’re now sitting in second-place in the Mountain West standings. New Mexico and New Mexico State are 1-1 so far this season. The Aggies are coming off a weekend where they swept Jacksonville State. Tonight’s game is at 6 pm and will stream on ESPN+.

🔼 Lobo Legends. A load of Lobo men’s golf legends were named to the Mountain West 25th Season Team! Sam Choi, Gavin Green, Charlie Beljan, Jay Choi, John Catlin, and Spencer Levin all received honors from the conference as they celebrate their 25th season. The Lobos had the second-most members on the team, behind UNLV who had nine.

Senior Send-Offs. This weekend will be the last for the seniors at Lobo Softball Field. We’re spending this time reflecting on their memories of softball and their time at New Mexico. Hear from Savannah Braun first!
