📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Sweet Sweep. The men’s basketball team completed a clean sweep of New Mexico State over the weekend, beating the Aggies 73-72. The second Rio Grande Rivalry game of the season came down to the wire as the Lobos rallied in the final minute. Donovan Dent grabbed a defensive rebound down one with 56 seconds left and sprinted down the court for a layup to take the lead. The game-winning play was the No. 1 play on SportsCenter’s Top 10! He finished with 14 points, six assists, and four steals. JT Toppin led the Lobos with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Isaac Mushila entered the 1,000-point club, the fourth active Lobo to accomplish this. Jaelen House also scored 14 points. The Lobos extended their winning streak to nine.

🔼  Everybody Eats. The women’s basketball team got another win last night, defeating Western New Mexico 71-47. All 11 players scored in the game as the Lobos closed their six-game homestand. Paula Reus led the way with 15 points, going 3-4 from three, and grabbed nine rebounds. It was her seventh game this season reaching double figures. Paris Lauro went 4-5 from three and 5-6 from the floor. She had a season-high 14 points. The Lobos made 10 three-pointers as a team and forced 16 steals. They’ll hit the road to take on No. 21 Gonzaga on Friday.

🐺 ONE BIG THING

We’re looking back at the volleyball season and the records that were rewritten. In 2023, Athina Dimitriadis racked up 29 solo blocks, tying the record for the most in a single season! Kali Wolf served up 35 aces, the second-most in a single season. She had multiple aces in eight different matches. The Lobos led the Mountain West in digs per set and opponent hitting average. This season was the first Mountain West Semifinals appearance since 1999 and first tournament win since 2006.
