📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Grand Gesture. Two Lobos brought in Mountain West weekly honors after downing Nevada. Reed Spenrath was named Player of the Week after batting .385 against the Wolfpack. He hit three home runs, two of them being grand slams, in Friday’s 16-0 shutout win. He’s the first Lobo to hit two grand slams in a single game since 1992. The senior finished the week with 10 RBI.

🔼  Pitch Perfect. Lobo baseball junior Dayne Pengelly brought home Mountain West Pitcher of the Week honors. He struck out 12 Nevada batters through seven shutout innings on Friday. His 12 strikeouts were the most single-game strikeouts by a Lobo pitcher since 2021.

🔼 Solid Start. The men’s golf team finished round one at the NCAA West Lafayette Regional in fifth-place at 2-over. Albert Boneta and Bastien Amat lead the Lobos tied for eighth-place at 1-under. Connor Adams is behind them after shooting an even par 72. The regional will continue today and conclude tomorrow. The top five teams will advance to the NCAA Championships.

🔼 Tiki Party. Meet the newest member of the men’s basketball team, Atiki Ally Atiki! He’s a 6’10 forward who spent the last three seasons at BYU. He played in 23 games off the bench, averaging 4.0 points and 2.9 rebounds per game last season. Atiki played for the London Basketball Academy in London, Ont. after moving from his home country of Tanzania.
