🔼 To The ‘Ship. Lobo men’s track & field star Habtom Samuel punched his ticket to the NCAA Championships in two events! He started the week by qualifying for the 10,000m and ended it by winning the 5,000m to advance to Eugene, Oregon. Lobo teammate Vincent Chirchir was the first man out from advancing, placing 13th overall in the 5K. Habtom will compete at the championship meet June 5 and 7.
🔼 That’s All, Folks. The men’s golf team finished their season by finished 27th at the NCAA Championships. The Lobos finished at 48-over. Bastien Amat tied for 51st at 7-over, while Albert Boneta was right behind him at 8-over.
We didn’t end the season the way we wanted to, but I am so proud of these guys. We had a phenomenal year. The guys, they took me in as a new coach, listened and learned something new. That is what is going to stick with me from this year. They could have left, but they stayed because they wanted to represent New Mexico and put together a special season.
🔼 Set The Record Straight. Former Lobo Josh Kerr set a new British National Record over the weekend! He ran a 3:45.34 in the 600m to win the Bowerman Mile and set the record. Hear what Josh had to say after the race.

Meet running back Ray Iwai! He came all the way to Albuquerque from Japan to play football. He was one of just four Japanese born players on an FBS roster last season. Hear his story!
