🔼 Top Dogs. The Lobos are at the top of the Mountain West with 141 honorees on the Mountain West All-Academic team! The winter/spring student-athletes combined with 79 fall honors gives the Lobos 220 total honorees. This is the 10th-straight year that New Mexico has had at least 180 honorees, the longest current streak in the conference.
🔼 Coach ‘Em Up. We’ve added a handful of new Lobo coaches lately, and we’re still going. Today, we’re welcoming the new men’s golf head coach, Jake Harrington! He led the University of Arkansas at Little Rock to three straight NCAA Regional appearances and a 2021 NCAA Championship appearance. He turned the program into a top-50 team after being ranked in the 200’s when he took over. Harrington won 13 total titles during his 10 years in charge.
🔼 Lil’ Lobos. If you know a young Lobo fan, now is the time to get them signed up for the Lil’ Lobos Kids Club! Lil’ Lobos will get a lanyard, flag, balloon wall art, credential, welcome card, and free admission to select games for only $40. Items will be shipped to your door later this month.
🐺 ONE BIG THING
All Around The World. One of the newest Lobo men’s basketball players has been shining at the World University Games in China. Mustapha Amzil has been playing for his home country of Finland and led the team with 18 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 steals in their first game against Azerbaijan. On Sunday, he once again led Finland with another 18-point game, 11 rebounds, and 5 assists in the win over South Korea.
