🔼  Top Dogs. Lobo tennis players dominated the Mountain West awards this week!

• Arda Azkara earned Mountain West Player of the Week for the third time this season and seventh time in his career. He went 5-0 on the week, going 3-0 in doubles and 2-0 in singles.

• Avery Tallakson joined him on the men’s side, winning Mountain West Freshman of the Week. He picked up his first two collegiate dual match wins against a DI opponent.

• Leonie Hoppe took home Mountain West Women’s Player of the Week. She won her opening doubles match, then clinched the victory to give the Lobos their first win over UNLV since 2005. She then clinched another conference win two days later over Colorado State.

🔼 Madness In Memphis. Tomorrow is the day! The Lobos will start the 2024 NCAA Tournament at 2:10 CT (1:10 MT) in Memphis, Tennessee. The 11-seeded Lobos are taking on 6th-seeded Clemson at the FedEx Forum. This will be the first-ever meeting between the two teams. The game will air on TruTV and the Lobo Radio Network.

🐅  Scouting The Tigers: Clemson is 21-11 on the season and finished sixth in the ACC, going 11-9 in conference play. They’re coming off a 76-55 loss to Boston College in round two of the ACC Tournament. PJ Hall averages 18.8 points per game for the Tigers.
