🔼 Top Freshman. Another week of basketball, another Freshman of the Week honor for JT Toppin! He earned the Mountain West Freshman of the Week honor after the Lobos’ first ranked win of the season over No. 19 San Diego State. This is his fifth of the season, becoming the first player to win the honor five times over the first 10 weeks. JT averaged 16.5 points, 11 rebounds, and three blocks per game last week. His nine offensive rebounds against San Diego State tied Kenny Thomas’ freshman record. He’s the first Lobo freshman to have two double-doubles against ranked opponents.

🔼 Cherry Tuesday. The action returns to The Pit tonight with No. 16 Utah State coming to town. Andy Katz named this his fourth-best game of the week! The Lobos are undefeated at The Pit this season (9-0), but Utah State brings the nation’s longest win streak of 15 games. College Basketball Report ranked Lobo fans No. 1 in week 10, so be sure to keep that streak going and come out to The Pit! Tip-off is at 8:30 pm and you can get your tickets here! The game will broadcast on FS1 for those who can’t make it.

🐺 ONE BIG THING

Spend your Saturday morning honoring the Lobo Swim and Dive seniors at Seidler Natatorium! They’ll host a meet against Wyoming at 11 am and will have a Senior Day ceremony at 10:45 am. Seven seniors will be honored before the meet.
