🔺 Selected. Football player Troy Omeire has been named to the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Watch List. The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award recognizes the top offensive player in Division I football who also exhibits the enduring characteristics that define Earl Campbell: integrity, performance, teamwork, sportsmanship, drive, community, and tenacity; specifically, tenacity to persist and determination to overcome adversity and injury in pursuit of reaching goals. In addition, the nominee must meet one or more of the following criteria: Played football at and graduated from a Texas High School and/or is currently playing at a Texas D1 four-year college.
🔺 Favorites. The men’s and women’s cross country teams were selected to finish first in the Mountain West Conference. This marks the third-straight year being voted No. 1 in the Preseason Poll. UNM has won three MW men’s team titles in a row and 17 of the last 18 women’s team titles. Both the Lobo men and women finished on the team podium at NCAA XC Championships in 2025.
