🔼 Road ‘Bos. The Lobos are on the road at Nevada this weekend on national TV! They’ll play the Wolfpack at 8:30pm MT on CBS Sports Network. The last time the Lobos beat Nevada was in 2016 in a game that ended after 1:00am on Sunday morning! New Mexico had a huge week of awards after beating Hawaii on Homecoming.

🔼 First Look, Good Look. The Lobo men’s basketball team made their debut last night with a 83-65 win over CSU Pueblo in an exhibition match. Donovan Dent scored 26 points, the most by a Lobo in an exhibition since 2015. Jamal Mashburn Jr. had 18 points while freshmen JT Toppin and Tru Washington scored 16 and 11 points. They’ll play another exhibition game on November 1 when they host New Mexico Highlands.

🔼 Back At It. The women’s basketball team will be back in The Pit on Sunday as they host Adams State in another exhibition game at 4pm. You’ll have a chance to pick up the 2023-24 schedule posters there as well. This will be the final exhibition game. The Lobos will start the regular season on November 6 at home against Texas Southern.

🔼  World Series Attitude. There’s a lot of “World Series” talk going on around here, so let’s see what it’s about. The Cherry / Silver World Series is taking place this weekend between members of the Lobo baseball team. Game one is today at 3:30pm, game two is tomorrow at 1:00pm, and game three is Sunday at 1:00pm. This will wrap up fall ball for the Lobos. Will you be rooting for Team Cherry or Team Silver? Here are the rosters!

In other baseball news, former Lobo Mitch Garver is playing in the World Series that starts tonight! Mitch and the Texas Rangers will take on the Arizona Diamondbacks.

🐺 ONE BIG THING

The Mountain West is celebrating its 25th season of cross country! They’ve compiled a 25th Season Team for men’s and women’s cross country, and the Lobos set the standard. Six Lobos made the men’s team and nine Lobos made the women’s team, the most of any other Mountain West teams.

The Lobos are competing in the Mountain West Championships today, starting with the men’s 8k at 10:15am. The women will follow with their 11am 6k. The men are looking for their first team title since 2014 while the women look to continue their 15-consecutive conference title streak.
