🔼 Two For Uxue. The Mountain West Offensive Volleyball Player of the Week is our very own Uxue Guereca! This is her second weekly conference honor this season and fifth of her career. She served up the third-most aces in the conference last week and had four against UNLV. She averaged three kills and three digs per set. She put up 19.5 points against the Rebels, which were the most by an individual in a three-set match last week.
🔼 UNMatched Excellence. Lobo Athletics and Eddie Nunez announced UNMatched Excellence: The Lobo Standard Strategic Plan. It reveals priorities, missions, vision, and values of the athletic department. Major focuses on the plan include competitive excellence, student-athlete development, campus integration and involvement, diversity, equity and inclusion, external engagement and financial stability. 🔼 Historic Monday. The men’s golf team matched the single-round school record in the second round of the Alister MacKenzie Invitational yesterday with a 268 score. Bastien Amat leads the Lobos as he finished yesterday at 9-under. The Lobos sit in second-place as they start the final round this morning.
🐺 ONE BIG THING
Former Lobo baseball player Mitch Garver was named the Player of the Game for the Texas Rangers on Sunday! The Rangers are currently playing in the MLB Postseason. Mitch recorded 5 RBIs, tying a Rangers postseason single-game record. He also hit a grand slam. Keep making us proud, Mitch!
