🔼 House Under Surveillance. As one of the nation’s top defenders, Jaelen House was named to the Naismith Men’s Defensive Player of the Year Watch List. Jaelen leads the NCAA in active career steals with 274. He’s ranked seventh nationally this season with 2.67 per game. He’s the only player from the Mountain West on the watch list.

🔼 Wilson’s World. The Lobos fell at lunch time at San Diego State yesterday, but Nyah Wilson continued her dominance. She scored a game-high 21 points with seven rebounds and a career-high six assists. Vianè Cumber recorded her third double-double of the season with 10 points and a game-high 11 boards. The Aztecs went on a 10-0 run late in the fourth to change things. The Lobos fell 53-60.

🔼 Make A Splash. The Lobos are headed back to Flagstaff, Arizona for the NAU Diving Invitational! When the Lobos were at NAU in the fall, Alice English picked up Mountain West Diver and Freshman of the Week honors. She and Kristen Hepfer both qualified for NCAA Zones at that meet. This week’s meet will begin this morning at 10:30 am and run through Saturday.

🐺 ONE BIG THING

The men’s and women’s basketball teams have teamed up with the UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center to encourage people to get screened for cancer! The men’s team will host Lobos Slam Cancer this weekend in the sold out game against UNLV. Survivors and their families will be special guests as a chance to celebrate and honor them.
