🔺  Mark the Calendar! The women’s basketball team announced a home-and-home series with Portland. The first game is scheduled in Albuquerque on Monday, Dec. 21. The game in Portland will be during the 2027-28 season with a date being announced at a later time. This will be the third meeting all-time against the Pilots, with both previous games played in 1994. UNM is 0-2 against Portland with the last game played in Albuquerque on Dec. 3, 1994.

🔺  New Lobo. The softball team signed Emerson Meggers to the 2027 roster. Meggers is an infielder transfer from Abilene Christian. The incoming senior also spent two seasons at Utah State. Last season, she played in all 48 games with 46 starts, and of her 46 starts, 41 were at second, four at shortstop and one at first base. Beyond her versatility in the infield, Meggers provided versatility in the lineup, batting in all nine spots in the order throughout the season, the only Wildcat to do so.
