Lobos Brew 11/14: WBB Wins with Four in Double Figures
The women's basketball team beat New Orleans 99-65.
Good morning, New Mexico. Football hosts Colorado State tomorrow! The Lobos have not defeated Colorado State since a walk-off field goal win in 2009. This year, the Rams are 2-7 overall and 1-4 in Mountain West play. The Lobos are 6-3 overall and 3-2 in conference play.

🔺 Big Win. The women’s basketball team handed New Orleans its third loss of the season after beating them 99-65 on Wednesday. The Lobos had four athletes in double figures. Nayli Padilla led New Mexico with 17 points. The team shot 52.2% from the field and 34.62% from behind the arc with 18 steals.
🔺 That’s a Dub! The volleyball team won its first road conference match of the season against Nevada 3-0. The Lobos have won back-to-back conference matches for the first time this season. The team also completed a season sweep over the Wolf Pack. Addison France led the team with 12 points. Gioia Riccato had 11 points, and Lauryn Payne had 10.

🔺 New Head Coach. The search is over! The women’s soccer team named Karley Nelson the team’s new head coach. Nelson served as an assistant and associate head coach of the Lobo women’s soccer program for the last 11 years. She is now the fifth head coach in the history of the program.

🔺 Final List. Men’s golfer Messa Falleur was named to the 2025-26 Haskins Award Final Fall Watch List. Falleur is one of 25 players on the list. The award recognizes the top players of the year in men’s college golf. Falleur is ranked No. 26 in the Clippd national individual rankings.

🔺 Welcome! The softball team signed five players to the 2026-27 roster. Jocelynn Gonzalez, Leah Letuli, Haley Mennenga, Aubrey Robledo and Ryoko Schroth and come to UNM from California and Texas. There are two pitchers, an infielder, catcher and outfielder. Learn about each player here.
