🎥 SCHOLAR-ATHLETE

Lobo football player Mihalis Santorineos was named a Lobo Scholar-Athlete of the Month for October! He’s always been focused on his grades. He holds a 4.0 GPA as a construction management major. Hear from the linebacker himself!

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 There Go The ‘Bos. The Lobo men’s cross country team brought home the Mountain West title for the first time since 2014! Additionally, Habtom Samuel became the Mountain West Champion, Evans Kiplagat was runner-up, and Lukas Kiprop came in third. Habtom’s finish was the fastest-ever in a Mountain West Championship race. He was named the Mountain West Men’s Athlete of the Year and Evans was named Freshman of the Year.

Nicola Jansen led the women’s team to a fourth-place finish after she finished as the runner-up. She and Klara Dess were named All-Mountain West team members.

🎥 Hear what Coach Gauson had to say about his first season so far. Coach Gauson was just named the Mountain West Coach of the Year.

🔼 Two Dubs Down. The women’s basketball team finished the exhibition portion of the season with two wins! They took down Adams State in their second exhibition match, 60-45. Viané Cumber, Nyah Wilson, and Aniyah Augmon all finished in double figures. They’ll be back for the real deal on November 6 as they host Texas Southern.

🔼  Cut It Close. A 24-point second-half wasn’t enough for the Lobos to make the comeback after three first-half interceptions. The Lobos fell at Nevada, 34-24. Luke Drzewiecki got the second-half started with a career-long 47-yard field goal to put the Lobos on the board. Jeremiah Hixon recorded a career-longest reception, going 59 yards for a touchdown. He was named the Pueblo of Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel Star of the Game for his touchdown and 116 yards. The Lobos are back home on Saturday, hosting UNLV.
